What Does a Restorative Nurse Do?
You will work closely with patients and other healthcare professionals to identify areas of improvement, establish treatment goals, and develop care plans aimed at improving overall health and well-being. Your knowledge of restorative nursing practices and techniques, as well as your ability to develop and implement effective care plans and communication with patients and their families, will be key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans aimed at restoring physical function and mobility to patients.
- Work closely with patients and other healthcare professionals to identify areas of improvement and establish treatment goals.
- Use evidence-based restorative nursing practices to facilitate patient recovery and improvement.
- Identify and prevent complications associated with immobility or reduced physical function.
- Educate patients and their families on restorative care practices, as well as lifestyle modifications to promote ongoing health and wellness.
Qualifications
- Active nursing license in good standing.
- Prior experience in restorative or rehabilitation nursing preferred.
- Strong assessment, care planning, and care delivery skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to effectively communicate with patients and their families.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and other healthcare technology preferred.
